A multi-generational campus at 9000 Bathurst Street that brings seniors housing, family homes and public green space to the doorstep of the Jaffari Community Centre.
Jaffari Village Residences is a long-term community planning project that brings residential life and shared community infrastructure together. Housing, worship, learning and social connection are planned to reinforce one another, so families and individuals can stay rooted through every stage of life.
The design went through five major revisions and dozens of working group meetings with the City of Vaughan and neighbours before approval. That record of open consultation is the model the Safinah surveys build on.
What is being built

Homes for seniors who want to age close to family, faith and services.

Mid-rise buildings and townhouses for young families.
Underground connections
Direct links to the 161,000 sq ft Jaffari Community Centre: mosque, As-Sadiq Islamic School, gymnasium and social halls.
Trails and a playing field
Public green space next to the East Don River Valley, open to the wider Vaughan community.
